Honduras

Fresh Start

After being eliminated from the World Cup, following is an individual Honduran players rating:

rank

The first two were pretty obvious. Noel Valladares at this point, has made the best save of the World Cup. As for Wilson Palacios…enough said, is Palacios, a beast in the midfield.

As we progress through the World Cup and our team returning back home, well keep you posted on breaking news and changes a long the way.

certaily honduras has good players but as a national team they just fail to click and are somehow shy of their potential…..why? I think we missed out when bora milutinovik left after being harrassed by the mediocre media, failed national coaches who were simply filled with envy and the pathetic chauvinism of players who failed in this cup and opposed that naturalized brazilians play for the country. bora understood that it takes example to get the players to believe in themselves and start having a winning attitude and brazilian players have such attitude. now the time is here to start fresh, get a coach who has achievements because no disrespect to mr rueda but. just what the heck has he achieved? taking us to the worldcup? come on, we got there by sheer luck thanks to that goal by borstein remember? we played miserably and never reflected the fact that we have a great group of individual players who cannot click as a team and by the way, suazo's days are over, he was merely decoration and that is sad to say because he was a great player while in cagliari but then he chose to follow the money only to be benched and he lost his touch in the process…..he should have stayed in cagliari where they counted and valued him…..

i cant agree any better with you mane. i do believe that bora couldve been able to change the mentality of our players because it is certain that we do have players with great potential and young.

to me, it all starts down with our corrupt soccer federation. with preparation matches of teams with little to no value in the soccer world, says something. the federation people are the ones that choose who gets to go and who doesnt. also, the presidents of the top clubs in honduras have a big say in the business.

its a long way to go. we need someone who has the balls to do the right job and literally change the way of playing soccer in our country.

from now on, we have to move forward and not backwards.

are yall high??? Rueda was the best thing that could happen to Honduran Futbol. Tbh I don't mind seeing him comeback. If it wasn't for Rueda players like Costly and Suazo would be wild childs. Rueda instilled discipline and concentration and mental strength..something Honduras has always gone without. Rueda merits another 2-4 year contract. Now with the emerging talent we have and the generation coming through….we'll be in 2014, regardless of who comes coaches us.

on that sidenote…Noel Valladares has official joined The Strongest in Bolivia on a 1 year contract…while Melvin Valladares joined Guerreros de Hermosillo in Mexican Primera Division A and Rambo will join Cesena in Italy from Parma…also Mario Martinez has returned from being on loan from Anderlecht and will now integrate with Real Espana.

It is true, Rueda did help in our advancement in soccer but there is still something his missing. He is missing character. Some of the players disrespect him and all the staff and nobody does nothing. Im sure most great coaches receive total respect from their players. Rueda needs to show discipline to his players, let them know who is in charge.

Another factor is that he does not aspire for greatness. It is true we are not brazil or argentina but every time we face against tough opponents like mexico or costa rica or USA, he plays a defensive game.

a great coach once said, the best defense is by attacking. we are a great team and we have players capable of going out to play against tough opponents. soccer is all about risk and Rueda is definitely not a risky person.

i heard about those contracts, fairly good i believe. Costly is back in Vaslui but will be penalized because of his late arrival. Suazo is being rumored to play in the German club werder Bremen next season, we'll see how that turns out.
