Gold Cup Preparation + Friendly Match Against Panama

As most of us might know, Honduras is currently undergoing some political issues. The news is everywhere, the story keeps changing and the mystery of not knowing what will happen tomorrow, has the country panicking. Both, South Africa 2010 and the future of all Hondurans are a mystery.
Anyways, the world still moves on and so must we. Lets get focused on our team future event, The Gold Cup.
Our team is currently in Raleigh, North Carolina. Professor Rueda is trying out the youngsters and changing up players at different positions. He said that it’s been hard for him and his assistant Mendoza to choose the starting line up. During these few days, Rueda and his companions will be making the final decision for our first match in Seattle, Washington against Haiti (a rival that shouldn’t be of any trouble to us) on Saturday July 4th 2009.
The group Honduras is in tells us that we at least should be 2nd after the first three games. Haiti and Grenade shouldn’t be any trouble fro Honduras. USA obviously is and I’m sure it will be a great match. The USA is the rival to beat. I hope Haiti and Grenade don’t give us any surprise or even worst, Honduras being overconfident.
Here is a complete schedule of all 3 group stage matches:

Now that we know the schedule we are all eager to know who are the ones that are going to be representing our lovely country. Here is the roster of all 24 players:

On the other hand. On Sunday afternoon we had a friendly match against Panama at the Wakemed Soccer Park at Raleigh, North Carolina. The odds gave us off as the favored ones to come out victorious. The odds were right. Even though we didn’t play our best match, we were able to come out with a 2-0 comfortable victory.
On the video below, the highlights and goals from the game.
