La bola ya no Rueda

The World Cup for Honduras is now over and new goals have to be set and important decisions must be taken.
We thank Rueda for taking us to our second World Cup after many failed attempts by other coaches.
He achieved something only one other coach had previously done. Despite all of this, even considering his continuity as the team´s head coach is total madness.
Towards the end of the cycle, Rueda lost all the respect he once had from his player (some of which have gone on to publicly acknowledge the internal division and chaos which reigned inside the team.)
Being a first hand witness, Salvador Nasralla pointed out on his show today how the team was divided into three groups:
1.- Amado, Pavon, Thomas, Noel
2.- The Palacios brothers and Maynor Figueroa
3.- Julio Cesar “Rambo” de Leon
These three were the most defined groups who only hanged out by themselves and rarely spoke to the players from the other groups.
The rest of the players switched from one group to the other. Salvador even went on to say that every player, with no exception,
was happy that “Rambo´s” medical exam confirmed his injury and wouldn’t be able to play the world cup.
A vital decision is now to be taken on who will be Rueda’s substitute. This decision may well define on whether we qualify or not to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
